Clare Valley Riesling Race Day

The Clare Valley Riesling Race Day to be held on Sunday 11th March is an exciting event on the SA racing calendar forming part of the new March Adelaide Cup Carnival long weekend. In preparation for the Adelaide Cup the following day the Clare Valley Race Club allows race goers the opportunity to experience the beautiful Clare Valley Region in a relaxed, sociable environment.

The Clare Valley is world-famous for its sensational Rieslings, so what better way to celebrate these fine wines than at a race day ? Clare Valley Racing Club General Manager, Brett Woodhouse is very excited about the prospects of this event “Long weekends in the Clare Valley are always popular and this will be no exception. Early hospitality bookings are strong with the club fielding a number of enquiries from various parts of South Australia and interstate” he said. “We will be running buses from Adelaide for people who are here for the Adelaide Cup Carnival therefore exposing the Valley to a number of new visitors”.

Trackside will be brimming with excitement, with The Air @ Clare Marquee sponsored by Toop&Toop, the Clare Valley Wine Marquee and a full program of racing including the Armagh Financial Services Apprentice Series. There will also be free childrens activities. In years to come there is no doubt that this day is set to become part of a long tradition similar to the Clare Easter Saturday races which now regularly attracts over 8,000 people.
What a great way to get away and warm-up for the SKYCITY Adelaide Cup.
